Physical Activities and Education

Heartspring values the importance of physical activity. We encourage all children to take part in activities that increase their level of physical fitness. Throughout the year, the students at the Heartspring School and the children at Heartspring Pediatric Services have the chance to participate in a variety of events on and off the Heartspring campus including PedalFest, Special Olympics, Adapted Physical Education class, and the Down Syndrome Society of Wichita’s Buddy Walk. Introducing the opportunity for physical education and activity significantly increases the self confidence and quality of life for all children with special needs.
